City Walk I, Copenhagen, Denmark
by Kelvin Seet on Jul.17, 2009, under Travels
I made my first trip to Copenhagen a few days ago and thought that I should carry along my camera to capture some sights to share! Hence I planned a walking trip that would cover the main sights in the city itself.
My walk took me to the Rosenborg Castle and then towards the harbour where the famous Little Mermaid statue stood, patiently gazing into the distance, with a wisp of romantic yearning in her body language. I then carried on along the harbour towards the shopping street of Stroget, capturing some photos along the way! All in all, I think I walked at least 8km!
I realised that a lot of Danish (and a lot of Europeans actually) like to bake in the sun! I saw quite a lot of people just lying down on the luscious greenery at the various beautiful parks scattered around the city, having intimate conversations or just reading a book! It must be the lack of sunshine during the other 3 seasons!
Here are some of the photos! I’ll be uploading a second set soon!
