City Walk, Amsterdam, Netherlands
by Kelvin Seet on Jan.27, 2010, under Travels
It was a cold but sunny morning when I decided to go for a morning walk in the city of Amsterdam. The sun was just rising and the sky had brilliant hues of pink, orange and blue. It was still very early and there was hardly anyone around. Shops were still closed and one of the canals was even frozen, with ducks and swans walking about on the ice.
As I walked along the famous canals of the city, I shot whatever I found interesting. It was about 6 degrees celsius and luckily, I shot all that I needed before a sudden heavy fog came over the whole of Amsterdam that lasted till the evening. I tried to capture the mood and intensity of this city of freedom, its edgy and dark aspect and its unique architecture.
Here are the photos and I do hope that you’ll enjoy them!

The Taj Mahal, Agra, India
by Kelvin Seet on Jul.29, 2009, under Travels
The Taj Mahal, itself so famous a monument that I do not need to speak much about it!
I went to New Delhi last week and decided to join 5 of my colleagues for this road trip. Surprisingly, the roads were well laid out most of the way and although we did pass through typical indian towns with traffic lights that were not working, skinny cows that were wandering about and endless sounding of horns, the 4 hours journey was quite pleasant!
When we arrived at the Taj Mahal, the tour guide provided some insights into the place (information that was easily found online) and then let us roam freely. So that’s what we did and seeing the Taj Mahal for ourselves was really a sight to behold, especially against clear blue skies with a relatively nice daytime temperature of 34-35 degrees celsius.
Really nothing to complain as it was during the monsoon season and we had such perfect weather!
We wandered about, finding the perfect tourist angles and then entered the replica tomb to take a look. Although its a wonder of the world, there really isn’t much to do other than taking photos and admiring the gem-studded marble structure.
Here are the photos that I have taken and do hope that you’ll like them!
