Jacqueline at City Hall Area
by Kelvin Seet on Jul.04, 2009, under Portraits
Jacqueline contacted me a while ago, asking if I was able to do a portrait shoot for her. She wanted to take some photos to keep as a token of memory during this part of her life, so I agreed!
She was the first real client of mine as my previous two shoots were with friends that I have known for a while. Although she knew I lacked experience, somehow she still was keen to have me as her photographer and for that I am extremely grateful to her for giving me this precious opportunity!
We discussed the details of the shoot and decided on a simple shoot at the City Hall area. The plan was to just move from the Esplanade to the Merlion Park and then towards the Old Supreme Court. However, luck was not our side as about 1 hour into our shoot, it started to rain heavily and continued for 1.5 hours. This really reduced the amount of shooting time we had by half as we planned to shoot from 7am to 10am. But things did not turn out that bad as we did manage to get some photos that were to her satisfaction!
Jacqueline was not a professional model and I have to commend her for staying positive and cheerful during the shoot, especially when I was trying to get her to pose in different ways!
Thanks Jacqueline for your time and effort!
Here are the photos! Do comment so that I can improve!

I will be available for outdoor portraiture photo shoots if you are keen on having me as your photographer. As I am building up my portfolio, I am currently not charging for my services.
Hence, if you are looking to build up your own modelling portfolio or just wish to take some photos as a memento, feel free to contact me.
If you are interested, just drop me an email and we’ll discuss the details.
Thanks for dropping by!
Deline at Somerset Skate Park, Singapore
by Kelvin Seet on Jun.09, 2009, under Portraits
This is the second part of my portraiture shoot with Deline and I would like to thank her again for being such an easygoing and fun model to shoot!
Deline was excellent at her poses and we had a lot of fun shooting around the various skating ramps at the park. The weather was good and it was a very productive shoot!
We were initially shooting at the Youth Park nearby and continued shooting here. There were lots of photos taken so I decided to split up the album into two series.
Some of the photos in this gallery were processed with experimental techniques to bring out the flavour of the shoot, which were “Rock & Roll” and “Grunge”.
Do let me know what you think about them and thanks for visiting!
